Book Look - Complete Book of the Microscope

Oh, a book about a microscope, huh?

Ho hum...

Not so fast -

Aaaahhh!!

This book just awesomed all over the place!

If you have a young mad scientist or even someone who doesn't care for the subject (that would be me, hate to say it), this book is the ticket! I really don't like Science, I just don't. But The Usborne Complete Book of the Microscope captured my attention, and I got hooked!

Take a closer look:

This is an internet-linked book, which means that it directs children to SAFE sites where they can dig deeper into the information on the page! Internet-linked books are huge time-savers because you don't have to spend your time on search engines looking for appropriate websites. The work's already been done!

Blood!

Behold the bottom of a sticky note!

Love the CSI tie-in!

This is your tongue! Eeek!

Sweat beads!

There is a picture, not on this page, of the moment a sperm cell enters an egg, but there is no "oh my goodness" text along with it (as I call it). The sentence or two that describes it wouldn't need to be edited at all, in my opinion. In most of the Science books I have the reproduction pages taped together for now, but this one passes my test. Just wanted to let you know about that, and I apologize for not having a picture to show you. This is a hostess's book and it's already been delivered.

Okie dokie, moving on...

Check out that pollen!

LICE! (heeby-jeebies!)

Love the helpful hints!

Wow, is this book fascinating!
