I'm not kidding, really. It's so great! Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what it's like, but I've also made a quick video to show you the inside (because the pictures don't begin to do it justice).

The first part of this book is teaching your child the basics of comic strips. After he or she learns about comics, they begin to write and draw their own in the book from given topics and ideas.

Now that the basics have been covered, it's time for your child to write her own comics! This page shows her table of contents that she will fill in as she works on the assignments. (And 'assignments' sure doesn't sound like a fun word, but I can't think of a better way to describe them.)

Here's the first 'assignment,' called Mix and Match comic. Click on the picture below to see what it's like.

Another assignment is called Pirates and Treasure.

Another one called Secret Agent (see how fun these are!).
